Domino’s Unveils a Delivery Robot
Pizza delivery is moving into the future! In case you missed it, Domino’s has unveiled the Domino’s Robotic Unit, or DRU.
The three-feet-high, four wheeled robot has room for up to 10 pizzas in its heated compartment. DRU has senors which allows it to travel within a 12.5-mile radius of its base store. Customers will get their pizza after they put in a code, which is provided by the store, on the keypad on DRU’s body.
The robot, which is believed to be the first of its kind, will make its debut in New Zealand. At this point, a specific launch date, or an idea of when we can expect a DRU in the US, has not be announced.
