Some women are proud and some women are self-conscious when it comes to their breasts, but at the end of the day, all women have some opinion about their chest area. Well, a new European poll (which could easily translate here) set out to discover just what women think about their boobs, and the results were not very positive.
They survey, by lingerie company Triumph, talked to women in Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Denmark and Poland, and found that surprisingly, size isn’t a woman’s biggest anxiety about their breasts. Instead perkiness was the biggest concern of 40% of those polled, followed by size (34%), shape (32%) and cleavage (29%).
Overall, women in all countries showed a similar level of unhappiness with their breasts, with women in the UK and France the least satisfied. The French, Danish, Italian and German are more confident the older they get, while Polish and British women are consistently dissatisfied.
Not surprising, age plays a big role in how a woman feels about their ta-tas. While younger women (18-29) want more cleavage (41%), 30 to 39-year-olds want a perky lift to their breasts (55%), and 40 to 49-year-olds want to accentuate their natural silhouette (44%).
And all these anxieties are leaving women feeling self-conscious about their bodies in general. In fact, despite women in their thirties and forties feeling positive about most aspects of their life, less than 50% feel positive about their bodies.
