Google Testing Digital Wallets That Can Stay in Pockets
Google is now testing ways to let people use digital wallets…without having to even take smartphones out of their pockets.
The goal is to make their Android Pay system for smartphones hands-free by verifying the owner of the “wallet” with facial recognition.
The digital wallet uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections along with location sensing capabilities in smartphones to detect when someone is near a store enabled with this technology.
So when you go to pay, you just tell the cashier that you’re paying with Google.
So, who was complaining about the enormous HASSLE of pulling out a wallet? Must have been a millennial.
