Man Skips Work for Six Years, No One Notices
Joaquín García has taken playing hooky to a whole new level. The government engineer from Cádiz, Spain skipped work for six years.
The 69-year-old had been receiving his salary the entire time. The best part? He was only found out while being considered for an award for 20 years of “loyal service.”
García, who is now retired, has been fined $30,500 dollars, which is less than his annual salary. For what it’s worth, he claims he was the victim of workplace bullying and came to work everyday only to find he had no work to do.
