Family Gets a Live Rat With Their Grocery Delivery
The Richardson family is probably done with getting their groceries delivered. The family from England was bringing in a delivery from the local grocery store when 19-year-old Beckie spotted a live rat.
“As Beckie lifted one of [the crates] I heard an almighty crash and she was on the floor,” mom Sue remembers. “I looked in the crate and this rat was just there looking up at us sitting next to the Smarties, eggs and [cans].”
The delivery truck driver took the rodent with him and the store immediately apologized. Not only that, but the company brought the Richardson replacement groceries and some flowers as “a gesture of goodwill.” It didn’t work. Sue says she’s being going that supermarket for years but will “never go back to them after this.”
