The Most Romantic Restaurants in the Country
For most people, Applebee’s just won’t do on the most romantic day of the year, but how do you know whether the restaurant you picked for Valentine’s Day is going to be perfect for your sweetheart? Well, OpenTable is here to help, and has just come out with a list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the Country. Although let’s face it, if you haven’t made a reservation yet, good luck trying to get one.
The reservation website made their determinations based on the reviews from more than five-million diners for more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The list features restaurants in 33 states overall, with California represented the most with 15, followed by New York and Virginia with eight a piece.
As for types of food, establishments serving American and French cuisines dominate the list, although Italian restaurants and steakhouses are also popular, as well as those specializing in fondue.
Some of this year’s honorees include The Cellars in Virginia Beach, Forbes Island in San Francisco, and Zenkichi in Brooklyn, as well as the legendary Rainbow Room atop 30 Rockefeller Center in New York, and the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
