San Francisco has a problem with public urination, so they added an outdoor urinal in one of its public parks. That’s right. Dolores Park now has a concrete circular urinal is out in the open, but does offer privacy thanks to a screen and some plants.
Before the $20-million renovation, the park only had three toilets, which led many citizens to “go” in bushes and on buildings. “Honestly, we were ready to go pee anywhere,” San Francisco resident Aaron Cutler says. “So any facility is better than none.”
Aside from the open air urinal, the park now has 27 toilets. “The more options we can give them to relieve themselves, the better for the parkgoers,” San Francisco Supervisor Scott Wiener explains. “The better it is for neighbors.”
