NASA Building a Planetary Defense Team to Protect Us Against Asteroids
NASA has set up a Planetary Defense Coordination Office – to defend the Earth from asteroids and comets that get too close for our comfort.
The department, which actually includes the position of “Planetary Defense Officer,” will be located at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
If you’re interested in getting in on the ground floor, here, and saving earth from ruin, you’ve got to be able to detect potentially hazardous objects (PHOs) in outer space, track and issue warnings about these objects — and even try to redirect them.
The fate of the earth is in your hands – and the salary is negotiable. Are you in?
