It’s Very Hard to Sell the “Silence of the Lambs” House
If you’ve seen “Silence of the Lambs,” you know that one of the most intense scenes in the movie is when Clarice ends up in Buffalo Bill’s house. We told you the house they filmed the foyer and dining room scenes in was put on the market last summer, and surprise surprise, it’s not that easy to sell.
“The fact that a home gets a ton of publicity doesn’t necessarily add up to a quick sale,” realtor Erik Gunther said. “Just because I want to gawk at something doesn’t mean I want to buy it.” He explained that the reason this house isn’t selling is less to do with its spooky Hollywood history and more to do with the house itself.
Interested? There four bedrooms and one bathroom and it’s located in a Layton, Pennsylvania, a remote village of fewer than 50 people about an hour south of Pittsburgh.
