We know there are plenty of people who can’t live without their daily Starbucks visit, but one Texas man’s devotion to the Seattle coffee chain is a bit extreme.
The man, who goes by the name Winter, is on a mission to visit every Starbucks around the world, and has spent 22 years on his quest, recently visiting his 15,000 store in Peru, where he enjoyed a Colombia Narino Latte Macchiato. Winter says he’s visited 12,000 locations in the US and Canada, along with more than 3,000 internationally, including in countries like India, Japan, Egypt, France and Costa Rica.
“I was quite thrilled to finally achieve a significant milestone in my Starbucking quest,” Winter tells Fox News, “one that was long delayed because of my family responsibilities. But it was especially exciting that circumstances allowed me to select not only a store in a new country, but in fact the first store in South America.”
But Winter still has a long ways to go before he visits all the Starbucks out there, considering the chain recently opened 30,000th store. And weirdly, despite all his Starbucks visits, he says the chain really doesn’t make his favorite cup of Joe. He insists he actually enjoys independent coffee houses to Starbucks noting, “That’s the definition of irony right there.”
